Welcome to the Inn
Enter the Black Cock Inn and the age of the building is immediately apparent. A warren of small rooms radiate from the central hub of the main bar area. Separated by ancient, thin wooden partitions or mighty stone walls the main bar area provides numerous nooks and crannies in which to relax and enjoy the range of excellent real ales, fine wines and other drinks. The blazing fire makes a cosy retreat on a winter’s day, while in summer the beer garden is a riot of colour and scent from a mass of flowers.
Broughton-in-Furness has a growing reputation as a great little beer town, with several inns all providing a good range of beers. The annual Beer Festival which takes place in October has served to further enhance the town’s credentials in this respect and the Black Cock Inn is proud to play it’s part in providing great quality beers, not only for the festival but day-in, day-out, to visitors and locals alike.
David’s commitment to providing the best can be seen along the bar where there are always three or four guest ales available alongside the ever-present Theakston beers.
